In September, we wear teal

I got this nail polish in the mail from my mom this week. It's O.P.I.'s "Teal the Cows Come Home." September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month, and teal is the color for this particular cancer. My mom was diagnosed with this cancer two years ago this month (on her birthday.) Her cancer has come back for a third time, and she is currently fighting it with drugs. So, in September we wear teal and think and pray for those affected by Ovarian Cancer.

  1. That is really cool. My mom passed away from ovarian cancer on Mothers Day of 2007. Just 2 weeks from her 44th birthday. It definitely taught me to be more aware of what's going on inside my body. Thanks for posting this Ashley.
